Time Dilation and Einstein’s

                           THEORY OF RELATIVITY EXPLAINED SIMPLY

          Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity changed how we think about space, time, and gravity. One of the most
          fascinating ideas from this theory is time dilation — the concept that time doesn’t pass the same for everyone.
          What is Time Dilation?
          Time dilation means time can run at different speeds for different people, depending on how fast
          they’re moving or how strong gravity is around them. Imagine two twins: one stays on Earth, and the
          other travels in a spaceship close to the speed of light. When the travelling twin returns, they will be
          younger than the one who stayed. That’s time dilation!
          Why Does Time Dilation Happen?
          Einstein’s theory has two parts: Special Relativity and General Relativity.
          •   Special Relativity (1905): This states that the speed of light is always the same, no matter how fast
              you  are  moving.  When  you  move  faster,  time  slows  down  for  you.  That’s  why  the  twin  on  the
              spaceship ages more slowly.
          •   General Relativity (1915): This explains how gravity affects time. The stronger the gravity, the slower
              time moves. For example, near a black hole, time would pass much more slowly than on Earth.
          Everyday Examples
          •   GPS  Satellites:  They  orbit  Earth  at  high  speeds  and  are  farther  from  gravity.  Their  clocks  tick
              differently, so scientists adjust for this using both parts of relativity.
          •   Particle Accelerators:  Fast-moving particles live longer because time slows down for them.

          Why It Matters?
          Time dilation shows us that time isn’t fixed — it depends on speed and gravity. While we don’t notice
          these effects daily, they are real and have been proven by science!

                          TIME TRAVEL…… STILL A QUESTION MARK?


          Imagine waking up one day and stepping into a machine that could take you back in time — to see the
          pyramids being built or meet Albert Einstein. Or perhaps you would want to jump a thousand years into the
          future to see how far humanity has come. Time travel has fascinated scientists, writers, and dreamers for
          ages. But is it just a fantasy, or could science one day make it real?

          Surprisingly, time travel is not just science fiction. Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity shows that time is not
          fixed. It can actually change depending on speed and gravity. For example, astronauts in space age a little
          slower than people on Earth. This is called time dilation, and it proves that time does not always tick the
          same everywhere. Some scientists believe wormholes — tunnels through space-time — could allow us to
          travel through time. But these wormholes are purely theoretical and could collapse instantly. Even if we
          could keep them stable, controlling them would require technology and energy far beyond what we have
          now. Travelling to the past raises tricky questions. For instance, what if you went back and stopped your
          grandparents from meeting — would you still exist? That is the famous “grandfather paradox.” Some
          believe time travel could lead to alternate universes, where each change creates a new reality. So, is time
          travel possible? We do not know yet. But exploring the idea pushes science and imagination to exciting
          new places. After all, what is fantasy today might be reality tomorrow.
