THE FUTURE OF SOCIAL MEDIA AND AI
As a student, I believe social media and artificial intelligence (AI) are not merely entertaining
tools—they are gateways to our future and vital links to the world around us. Through social media, we
can share ideas, learn from others, and even inspire meaningful change. It enables us to express our
identity and connect with people from diverse cultures, which is essential in today’s increasingly
globalised society.
AI enhances the way we learn—whether through apps that explain complex mathematical concepts or
tools that help refine our writing. These technologies are also shaping the careers of tomorrow. With AI
integrated into numerous industries, early familiarity gives us a significant advantage in the
professional world. Rather than shielding students from these innovations, we should be guided on how
to use them responsibly and effectively. Social media and AI are not distractions; they are powerful
platforms for education, communication, and building a future we can look forward to with confidence
and curiosity.

AI IN DAILY LIFE
Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is rapidly becoming an integral part of our daily lives—often in ways we may
not even notice. Consider how your smartphone suggests the quickest route home or how Netflix
seems to know exactly what you want to watch next. That’s AI in action.
Virtual assistants such as Siri and Alexa can set reminders, play music, or answer questions within
seconds. When you shop online, AI analyses your previous purchases to recommend products tailored
to your preferences. In smart homes, AI systems help control lighting, temperature, and even security,
making living spaces more convenient and energy-efficient.
In the field of healthcare, AI is revolutionising the way doctors diagnose illnesses—making the process
faster, more accurate, and more reliable. On social media platforms, AI curates our feeds, filters
content, and suggests friends or posts we might find interesting.
In essence, AI is making our lives easier, more efficient, and highly personalised. As technology
continues to advance, AI will undoubtedly become even more helpful in ways we have yet to imagine.

NO LABELS, JUST PEOPLE
Sexism isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it hides in quiet expectations — when girls are expected to be
sweet and graceful, while boys are told to be tough and emotionless. These stereotypes don’t just exist
in films or history books; they are present in everyday moments around us.
Many people associate sexism only with the treatment of girls, and while it’s true that girls often face
unfair judgement, that doesn’t mean boys have it easy. Boys are frequently expected to suppress their
emotions, avoid interests like poetry or art, and conform to a narrow idea of masculinity just to “fit in”.
When a boy shows vulnerability or chooses a different path, he often risks being laughed at or
dismissed. In learning environments, it’s natural for students to feel overlooked at times. But when
patterns emerge — when certain voices are heard more than others — it raises important questions.
Often, this isn’t due to intentional unfairness, but rather unconscious bias that can creep in unnoticed.
The truth is, everyone deserves to be treated with equal respect and attention, regardless of gender. A
girl aspiring to be an astronaut or a boy training to be a dancer shouldn’t be seen as unusual — they
