THE GHOST STORY

We were discussing our activities when the topic shifted to horrifying encounters with ghosts.
My friend, who has been disturbed by such experiences since childhood, shared her story.
Her parents were doctors so they had to move frequently. She told me that once, at her old school, they
organised a study camp for board students. In the school hall, the body of a person who had died in a
tragic bus accident was laid out. Because of this, the school needed to be purified regularly. However, it
had not been purified for a long time, and soon the students began seeing large black figures about the
          size of a door.
On one occasion, her teacher shifted her to Room 10C, where they saw one of these black figures
peeking at them. My friend was studying in that room with another girl, but the girl was car sick while
coming to the camp and was sleeping. While my friend was studying, the black figure peeped in at her.
When she looked up, it quickly hid away, as if it were trying to play with her. Suddenly, she looked up
again and what she saw was terrifying — a large black figure with barely visible eyes and a wide, creepy
smile. and it quickly hid away again.
My friend was scared and tried to wake the other student, but she was unconscious due to her car
sickness. At that moment, the lights went out and it was completely dark. Luckily, her friend, a boy, came
over and asked, “What’s wrong?” She told him what she had seen, but he tried to calm her down, saying
it was nothing. However, when the lights came back on, they saw a giant figure, different from the one
peeking, coming down the stairs at the end of the hall. Both of them were terrified. He tried to act as
normally as he could, but what he witnessed was too much to handle, and my friend began to cry.

                                             Teen and Peer Pressure
WHAT IT FEELS LIKE AND HOW TO STAND UP

Navigating the teenage years can be quite a ride. It is a time filled with growth, learning, and discovering
who you truly are. Friends and classmates play a huge role in your life during this phase, and the desire
to be accepted and liked can be overwhelming. This is where peer pressure comes into play.

Peer pressure is the feeling you get when you think you need to act or think a certain way just to fit in with
the crowd. It can push you to change who you are in order to gain acceptance, leading to stress,
anxiety, and even self-doubt about your own decisions. Things become tricky when you start ignoring
your own beliefs simply to avoid feeling left out. Over time, this can chip away at your confidence and
leave you feeling unhappy. You might find yourself struggling with the feeling that you are not being true
to who you are, and that can be difficult to handle. Dealing with peer pressure is not always easy, but it is
definitely possible. The first step is to understand what feels right and wrong for you. Trust your instincts.
You do not have to conform to be liked. Standing up for yourself, even if your voice wavers, shows real
          strength.
Surround yourself with friends who respect your choices and support you. And when things get
overwhelming, do not hesitate to reach out to someone you trust. You do not have to face it all alone.

Remember, you are not here to please everyone. What truly matters is how you feel about your own
choices. Stay authentic to yourself, even when it is challenging. That is where genuine confidence
          begins to blossom
