‘Sometimes adversity and challenges are what you need to face and overcome them in order to be successful.’

When adversity strikes, that's when you have to be most calm and pacified, you need to pull up your socks for the challenges coming up next in order. Take a step back, stay grounded, stay strong and press on. In the same context our house motto says ‘To Give our Best in Adversity.’ We have proved it time and again and this year as well the story is no different.
The winning streak started with the outstanding performance of our exemplary cricketers when Dayanand House won the Inter House Cricket Trophy with the performances of the players like Dinesh Johrar, Shivam Sagar, Iyush Suri, Mohd. Javed etc. We won all the matches in both senior division.
The brave hearts of Dayanand House bagged Basket Ball trophy as well in both senior division. The players with the likes of Adnan Ashraf, Shivam Sagar, Sahil Punia, Tushar Saroha, Vanlal Pecca, Shefail Ahmed, Vishwam Kedia, Tarunpreet Singh, Nikhil Nathani and Ishandeep Singh Lamba played the key role and displayed exemplary team work and efforts to bring the trophy home.

The hunger for more success and trophies grew, consequently Shivam Sagar won first position in the individual category of Lawn Tennis, Anmol Agarwal brought laurels in the junior division.
In Cross Country, Master Kshitij and Himanshu secured second and third positions respectively in the senior division. We also claimed first position in Co- curricular activities when Aradhana Joshi stood first in English Debate.

Shivam Sagar bagged the title in Badminton Individual Category. Dinesh Johrar won both Chess contests in the senior division with Vishwajeet finishing on a winning note as well.

Kritika of standard V secured first position in the Inter House Poem Recitation at primary level. Harshita Mann of Dayanand House stood first in the Inter House Hindi Poem Recitation.

Vaibhav Kumar brought laurels for the house in badminton by winning and securing second position in badminton.
The Big-Brain team of Dayanand House won the Big-Brain G.K. Quiz-2016 (Junior) with the best scores of 20 points.

Now, it was the turn of Dayanand House Band to light up the people by their magical instruments and mesmerising performances. The Band was led by Band Major Nikhil Nathani and his mighty fellows emerged victorious and successful by adding another beautiful and colourful feather in the cap of Dayanand House.
Nikhil Nathani was adjudged and declared as The Best Band Major. The atmosphere in Dayanand House was exuberant. Inter House March past was next in the winning streak.
We were not left too far behind in the field of ACADEMICS. The house took immense pride to recall our house captains’ duo Nikhil Nathani and Tarunpreet Singh to shoulder the all-important responsibilities of Dayanand House.
Herculean efforts, team work, camaraderie and active participation in all the disciplines, departments and activities culminating into the true house spirit of healthy competition has made the house more of a disciplined and righteous one in the race.
We always believe in never confining ourselves as many people limit and confine themselves to what they think, they can do. One can go as far as his or her mind lets to go beyond limits to explore something new for the betterment of all. If we believe we can do it, remember, we are definitely going to achieve it.
Someone has very rightly quoted, “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand and the determination that whether we win or lose, and we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.
